Cedars Engineering & Consulting, Inc. ("Cedars", "we") operates cedarsengineeringconsulting.com. This policy explains what information the website collects and how it is used. In short: the only personal information we collect is what you choose to send us through the contact form or by email, and we use it only to respond to you.
Information you send us
When you submit the contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number if provided, the property address if provided, the service you are asking about, and your message. The form is delivered to us as an email. Submissions are not stored on this website or in any database. The email is kept in our business mailbox for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of the inquiry, and it is handled like any other business correspondence.
If you email or call us directly, we handle that correspondence the same way.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs and security. The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and provide aggregate traffic statistics. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Spam protection. The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated submissions. Turnstile analyzes browser signals to do so and does not track you across other websites.
- Rate limiting. To prevent abuse, the form temporarily records a count of submissions per IP address. These counters expire automatically within a day and contain no message content.
- Fonts and map. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts and the Contact page embeds a Google Map of our office. Your browser requests those resources from Google, which may receive your IP address. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use tracking pixels. Cloudflare and the embedded Google Map may set functional cookies needed for security and for the map to work.
How we use information
We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry, to scope and perform engineering services you request, and to keep records required for professional and legal purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing lists or newsletters.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that make the website and our email work (Cloudflare and Google, as described above), with licensed partner firms when needed to perform services you have engaged us for, and when required by law, subpoena or a professional licensing authority.
Your choices
You can contact us without the form by emailing [email protected] or calling (954) 815-8473. You may ask us to correct or delete correspondence you have sent us; we will do so unless we are required to keep it as part of a project record.
Children
This website is intended for property owners, boards and professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the website changes. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision.
